BIO
If you haven't met us yet, we are a Retro Pop/Rock R&B styled band from Ohio (USA). Christina and her mother Candi (drums/guitar) performed together with various bands, until they met producer Johnny Lewis (keys/bass/vocals) and formed the family band, House Party.
We began our musical journey together writing, recording and producing radio jingles and television commercials for local business. We performed as a trio at area venues before writing, recording and releasing a series of EPs. For larger venues and festivals, we tour with a bassist and tenor sax player.
In 2023, House Party had several cues on the Fox Sports Network during the college football games. With this bit of success, we returned to the studio to focus on a series of singles for sync placement.
We are currently working with producer/engineer Gary Gray, best known for The Little Mermaid (2023), as well as his work with Quincy Jones, Chick Corea and Phil Collins. Gary saw potential in one of our previous tracks, "Sweet Summertime" and we selected that as our first single project.
We kept the original bass and drum tracks with Candi on drums and Johnny on bass, then Candi laid guitar tracks and Johnny added piano and organ. Christina recorded all of the backgrounds and the lead and things were shaping up nicely, but we felt we needed something special.
We were very blessed to include horns and a sax solo by world-class saxophonist Matt Corey, which gave the track a warm and depth that compliments the richness of the retro styled single. Watch for the release in April 2026.
